“When Morkaris came back from the remote lands where he was hiding, among the many rare objects he brought back was a piece of amethyst set in a ring. The leaders of the new cult to which he had joined told him that the stone in the ring would guide him to a safe place to exercise his new faith.

Before arriving at his new home base, he went to seek out his old comrades to join him. He persuaded them by promising them the most magnificent treasures and loot, power and glory. As soon as they arrived, it didn’t take too long to realize that a strange feeling was surrounding the place.

The whole area is full of twisted arcane magic that has caused hideous deformations among those who dwell there. At the same time it has imbued them with great strength and resilience. Those who accepted the power the island gave them have paid the price of being cursed forever.

Something that even Morkaris himself did not know, and that he realized some time later, was that he had been tricked. The weird magic in the area was produced by the underground minerals in the zone, which were similar to the stone in his ring. Once the power was willingly accepted, Morkaris and the rest became the guardians of this place that held powerful artifacts. That was the main intention of the high priests who sent him there. There is not much he and the rest can do, their souls are bound to the forces of their new home, if they spend too much time away from it, they will disapear for sure.“

Lineagedos Lore

Morkaris Chasm is part of the new Lineagedos maps. It is an icy and hidden location where you will mostly find 4 types of new creatures as well as the Captain Morkaris Raid Boss (lv.45).

Walk Around Morkaris Chasm

To get to Morkaris Chasm, the only way is through Morgan who is on the arrival ship to Kalanthia Island. You will just need to talk to her and select “To the Chasm”. Only players level 40 or higher can travel through Morgan as long as they have the Chapter 5: To the Chasm quest completed or active.

Once you get to Morkaris Chasm you will find 4 types of very tough enemies, so we suggest you to visit the place as a party. Some of them are aggressive and will help each other so you have to be very careful.

All of these mobs give a good amount of XP and SP as well as adena(2000~3000) and also two special items that can only be found by killing Morkaris’ pirates (Officer, Quartermaster and Mutant) or Morkaris himself. These objects are Black Gem(0.01%) and Pink Crab Shell(25%).

These items are not tradable and cannot be sold in ordinary stores, but you can trade them for Silver Coins or Gold Coins with Morgan:

Every time you exchange Pink Crab Shell with Morgan, she will tell you how many items you have exchanged so far and how many remaining objects you will still be able to trade. Yes, there is a limit to trade Pink Crab Shell for Silver Coins: 2.000 units corresponding to 200 Silver Coins. Once you reach the limit Morgan will no longer exchange any more items and she will not let you travel to Morkaris Chasm.

Finally – and most important – on the map you will find Captain Morkaris, a level 45 RaidBoss. In order to defeat him, it is necessary to be in a party.
